Ms. Rachel Collins is from a small town in New York. She received her Bachelor's Degree from New York University, an M.Phil. in Anglo-Irish Literature from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and her Master's in Elementary Education from National-Louis University in Chicago. She joined the Clinton community in early 2012 as a 3rd grade teacher after teaching Kindergarten on the south side of the city.
Ms. Collins enjoys knitting and writing short stories.
As Horace Mann once said, "education, beyond all other devices of human origin, is the great equalizer." The daughter of two lifelong teachers, Ms. Collins believes that every child has the right to fulfill his or her dreams and the first step on that path is a quality education.
